Research notes and sources
Cover dated August 1983. GCD records April 26, 1983 as the on-sale date; League of Comic Geeks and Marvel Database give May 17. The day-level conflict is retained here. John Byrne pencils and Terry Austin inks are signed on the original; cover inker and interior artist credits are distinct. The Canadian team advances toward the reader through surrounding Marvel heroes, with Puck in front beneath a yellow field and the Alpha Flight logo. This group arrangement recurs in later tributes.
